Choosing Paper:

Choosing paper for your prints depends on what you will print. You can use “regular weight” to “heavy weight” printer paper.
This Printing Guide with pictures is available for you to download. You can download it at the end of the page for free.

Paper Weight:

80 gsm Standart Printer Paper, Multipurpose
90 gsm- 120 gsm Letterhead, Stationery, Brochures, Flyers
150 gsm -350 gsm Posters, Brochures, Greeting cards, Door hangers, Business cards, Folders, Postcards
300 gsm - 400 gsm Invitation cards, Tags, Postcards

HOW TO PRINT FILES:

Now that you have the correct paper, let’s start printing. I recommend a test print on paper to see color and other details. Usually you will receive: PDF files at 8.5”×11” (U.S. letter size) or A4 Size (21 cm x 29.7cm / 8.3” x 11,7”) Smaller size will be A5 ( 21cm x 14,8 cm / 5,8” x 8,3”) which is the half size of A4.

SCALE & ORIENTATION
● Choose the number of copies you want to print
Scale : "actual size" or “do not scale”
Orientation: Make sure to check the box for the printer to choose the correct rotation. If not choose "Landscape" or "Portrait" printing option from the menu. Wrong orientation will result incorrect print out. Most of the printers have Auto-Rotate: which means they oriante the printing direction automatically.

PRINT QUALITY
To have the best quality possible on your prints set your printer to high resolution.
High resolution is known as pixels which means different colored dots that make up an image.
Designs are usually provided in 300dpi (dot per inch) for good result. Lower then 300 dpi will have poor quality.

PAPER SIZE
As mentioned before, usually you will receive files at 8.5"×11"(U.S. letter size) or A4 Size (21 cm x 29.7cm / 8.3" x 11,7")
You need to choose the correct paper size from the drop down menu.
If you prefer to print smaller size such as A5, all you need is to choose the size.

MEDIA TYPE
This setting tells your printer what kind of paper type you will use.
"Paper Type" or "Media Type" setting is important because printer adjusts itself for the ink to print evenly on paper type.

As you know all printers have different settings. All you need to do is experiment a little and find out your printers options. You can always refer to your printers guide if you need. But don't worry, I'am sure it will be successful in couple of tries.
